Smart predict in SAP Analytics Cloud - Requirements?

Hi,

my company was installing an SAP Analytics Cloud Account in Oct 2018. (System>About: Version: 2019.2.2)

Now we want to test "Smart Predict" in the cloud. Unfortunately, via Menu>Create> no option "Predictive Scenario" is displayed as suggested by the help option.

Can someone please tell me the exact requirements/ what needs to be done to access Smart Predicts within our SAP Analytics Cloud tenant?

Hi Raphael

If you contact your partner manager, or someone via SAP partner edge, they can give you access to a partner tenant that has this capability available, you can't really connect it datasources (mainly security reasons!) for a proper POC, but it`s useful for learning the functionality. I believe the issue is that most partner tenants (in EMEA) are in the SAP NEO datacentre, but for Smart Predict, they need to be in AWS.

Is Smart Predict available in through partners and resellers?

• Not on the date of release. SAP is working to fix this and will provide an update as soon as we have a date when it be possible for Partners to sell and access Smart Predict.

thank you very much for the quick answer and the attached link, my company is indeed an SAP partner located in Austria.

Is there already an approximate timeline for partner companies?

Could you tell us the best option to gain access in the meantime (is the only way purchasing an additional customer tenant)?

Raphael, if you can share the name of your company, I can check your tenant and see if it's normal that Smart Predict is not surfaced.
