Consider subcontracting stock in MRP (No MRP areas!)

Dear experts,

I need to consider subcontracting stocks during MRP. Otherwise higher demands will be created than needed according to business prosesses.

MRP Areas are no solution due to impact with other applications in the system.

Are there any SAP standard solutions available or do I need to implement a BADI (MD_SUBCONT_LOGIC).

I found this thread: Thread 1962292

Does anybody has an alternative idea?

We have SAP ECC 6.0 with SAP_APPL 605 0009 SAPKH60509.

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards

Patrick

Hi Patrick

It means you will no longer see those separated stock segments for subcontractors in transaction MD04. Everything that was under the subcontractor (stock, receipts and requirements) will be under the plant.

Caetano

Hello

You need to implement MD_SUBCONT_LOGIC. This is exactly why this BAdI was delivered.

Be aware that, with this solution implemented, there will be no separation between the plant and the subcontractor stock from an MRP perspective.

Hi Caetano,

thanks for your reply.

What do you mean with "no separation between the plant and the subcontractor stock from an MRP perspective"?

I want that MRP is counting Subcontracting stock as available so that there will be no requirements generated if the subcontracting stock + free available together is enought.

Will this work with this?

Thanks for your explanation in advance.

Best regards

Patrick
