Free Goods Determination in SAP AFS

Dear Experts,

I am implementing Free Goods determination process for one of my client for AFS Materials.

They are running SAP AFS.

I have configured the required things in system and have maintained VBN1 also for exclusive free goods.

The problem which I am facing is : While creating sales order, after entering the required quantity to be eligible for free goods, the free good line item is coming but the free good quantity is not coming automatically like standard in ECC.

For example, say my condition is if a customer purchases minimum 100 PC of Laptop, we shall give 1 Mobile as Free Good.

This 1 quantity of Mobile is not coming automatically though a line item with Mobile is coming.

Could you please suggest what else I need to do.

I have heard once that Free Good functionality is not extended to AFS. Is it true?

What I need to do in order to display the free good quantity automatically?

Please suggest.

Dear Soumya,

Free Goods functionality is not enhanced for AFS. The transaction VBN1 is not enhanced for AFS i.e., you can't maintain the free good quantity at the grid value level. For AFS material if you maintain free goods quantity, when you create the sales order, free goods quantity will not be calculated correctly. However Free good functionality is supposed to work if you maintain the quantities for the standard material and create the sales order.
