Prerequisite for HCM_ESS_CE

We are at ERP 7 enhancement pack 4. We are concurrent employment. I want to turn on business function HCM_ESS_CE. The instructions state that a prerequisite is to make the config settings in:

Personnel Management -> Employee Self-Service -> General Settings -> Concurrent Employment (CE)/Global Employment (GE).

The problem is that "Concurrent Employment (CE)/Global Employment (GE)" does not appear under General Settings in the IMG. What is missing? What has to be set to get "Concurrent Employment (CE)/Global Employment (GE)" to appear in IMG?

These SPRO options don't appear until AFTER you apply HCM_ESS_CE. The documentation talks about pre-requisites which makes it very confusing. This business function makes many changes to T7XSSCE_GRP, T7XSSSERLNK, T7XSSSERLNKT and other tables.

check in t77s0 the switches for CE, enable them thats it you require!

Thanks for you're response.

I found out the table view that can be used to edit directly in SM30 (V_T7XSSCE_GRP).

Also contacted SAP who's response was:

"you need to raise a message and they send you a questionnaire to be completed. Until that is done you will not see the IMG path for MGE."

It's very strange. The only options under - Personnel Management -> Employee Self-Service -> General Settings - are:

Edit Overview Pages

Homepage for Self-Services

Generic Reporting Tool

I don't have an option for Concurrent Employment (CE)/Global Employment (GE).

You can read the note 662136. and 1314503

1.Activate Concurrent Employment/Management of Global Employees

Perform all the activities in Customizing for Personnel Management by

choosing Personnel Administration -> Basic Settings -> Basic Settings

for Concurrent Employment or by choosing Management of Global Employees

-> Global Settings.

4.Assign CE/GE Group Definition Settings to ESS Applications

Ensure applications are ESS CE/GE-enabled by performing the following

activity on each application in Customizing for Personnel Management by

choosing Employee Self-Service -> General Settings -> Concurrent

Employment/Global Employment -> Assign CE/GE Group Definition Settings

to ESS Applications.

Refer to the Business Package documentation for a list of services for

which Concurrent Employment is available in ESS. Go to SAP Library under

SAP ERP Central Component -> Human Resources -> Personnel Management ->

Business Package for Employee Self-Service 1.31 -> Release Note for

Business Package for ESS 1.31.
