Release of History from Info Cube to Planning Area

Hi Experts,

I am using program /SAPAPO/RTSINPUT_CUBE to load sales history data from Info Cube to Planning area. Most of the data gets loaded but for few CVCs we get following message: -

549 combinationens of InfoCube are not contained in the BasisPlobStru

While checking up these CVCs in transaction /SAPAPO/MC62 and Planning Book I can see that these CVC exist and data is also visible.

Could anyone please help me out with the reason and what should be done to encounter this.

Hi Chandan,

Actually you can call it as warning or an error depending your SAP environment and Service Package.

During DP background processing when system finds some entries locked it can not carry out the defined activity (release of data from cube to PA) and system takes a record of such locked entries which are not processed at the first time-which are seen in the log.

But at the end of the job when other entries are done for the defined activity system re-tries this activity for these locked codes and hence you can see the data in the planning book, but the codes remains in log as an warning.

Check for your SAP APO version and refer the following SAP Notes applicable to your environment.

Hi All,

Many thanks for your valuable inputs. Later I observed that CVCs that were shown in the log of the release program actually existed in the planning area and data was also present. So the most probable reason can be the one suggested by Digambar.

However all of you have given real good inputs. Thanks again!!! Cheers !!!!

This could be due to two reasons, either you have some CVCs in the Planning Object structure that have been created manually or by using a flat file AND these have not been created using the infocube as source. So for the CVCs that do not exist in the cube , data will be loaded from the cube . OR the error could be due to formatting issues of the some Char values in the cube or in the POS. If you do a step by step detailed comparision between the CVCs of the cube(by not using KF as filter, just use the chars) and the CVCs of POS, you should be able to identify the missing CVCs in one of these objects.

Hi Chandan,

First check if this message is a warning or an error.

If the message is a warning, then it means, that the CVC already exisited in the MPOS, indcating that the there was a repepated value in your info source or any info provider that you are creating a CVC on.

For example, if you creating a CVC based on your history, then it is possbile that the system is trying CVCs based on the same data and hence not creating duplicate values. MPOS would always unique values/CVCs.

Else if the mesage is an error, that would indciate that something was missing while creating the CVC and hence the CVC is not created.

So if the message is a warning, you can choose to ignore it.

Please note that I am LOADING THE DATA FROm INFO CUBE and NOT CREATING CVC. Can you please have a look again from this perspective and suggest.

First of sincere apologies for not having read the query completely.

regarding your query on 549 combinationens of InfoCube are not contained in the BasisPlobStru, as you have stated that the CVCs exist in the MPOS.

But can you please check if the CVCs maintained in the MPOS are the exact CVCs that are mentioned in the messgae. For example, the message is for location product sales org Country. Can you check if the CVC exists for this combination for which the forecast is being loaded from the source? For example it is possible that data is being loaded for Loc1 Prod1 SalesOrg1 Country1, but the CVC exists for Loc1 Prod1 SalesOrg2 Country1, then such message appears.

So can you check if the exact CVCs are exisitng in the MPOS as indicated in the messages?
