Hi All,

I am trying to test the SFTP connection to target SFTP server of client with password based authentication method using Sender SFTP Adapter.

My request to client SFTP goes via SquidProxy.(PI--->SquidProxy---->Target SFTP) When i am trying to connect it goes to target directory also says that 0 files found there but after sometimes it gives below timeout error.

Exception received: com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: ProxyHTTP: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out (local port 40768 to address (Source PI system IP Address here) (PI host name here), remote port 8080 to address (Squid IP Address here) (Squid host name here))

I checked with security team and they checked from their end and connection is getting established fine to target IP and i am also quite satisfied with their answer as channel also showing connected but after sometimes it goes into the above error.

Could you please help me what could be the reason of this error and solution for this. I have also attached the error screenshot and Channel config screenshot here.

Regards

Mahesh Mane

Hi All,

This error was due to IP whitelisting was not done at Client side.

So i asked client to check if there is any IP filtering/whiltelisting at their end required.

Then i provided the IP's to be whiltelisted at their end and then channel started connecting without any errors.

Hi Mahesh,

Looks like it's an intermittent connectivity issue, Please ask your basis team ping the Sqid proxy IP for 24 hrs duration and check is there any connecitivity failures occurred, And also put a trace on the SFTP channel in XPI_Inspector .

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
