ecc-dimp 604 upgrade problem

Hello ,

we have upgraded our ecc6 system to ehp4

now we would like to upgrade component ecc-dimp from version 600 to 604

using saint.

i have loaded the required upgrade files to the eps in directory

whenever i choose in saint the correct versio nfor import - 604 and

choose continue i get the following error message - This Enhancement

Package installation must be configured with a Stack XML.

i have created an xml file using the mopz in the solution manager and put

in the eps/in directory but the system doesn't seem to recognize the

relevent xml file and the upgrade can't be imported

ECC-DIMP is dependent to SAP_APPL. To upgrade your system you need to create a MOPZ task in the Solution Manager and use EHPI to upgrade your system.

problem solved - i re generated the xml file with the entire ehp4 queue - although the system has already been upgraded to ehp4 and i only wanted to upgrade the ecc-dimp component - starnge and shouldn't work like this - but this is what solved the problem - additionally - i used transaction saint to upgrade the component to ehp4.

Its worked in my case also.

We have upgraded our system from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0 EHP5. We got runtime errors in the standard T-code, because of DIMP is not updated to 605. We have recreated the stack file by selecting industy specific component like dicreate - mill and downloaded the packages based on stack file then uploaded using SAINT.

Hi,

When you will click on Start in SAINT then on next screen there is a button for Stack Configuration. you have to click that button then it will read stack xml file from EPS/in and upload it in the system then you can carry on the upgrade.

Hello ,

i followed the instructions of the note , imported the attributes file attached to the note - but still getting the error message when i try to import the ecc-dimp upgrade - regarding a not suitable xml file
