Is it possible to login an user if there is a technical user already set in SICF - service

Hey everyone,

is it possible to change a set technical user if the application procedure requires to do so?

The use case would be as follows:

User starts Fiori app without login (technical user set in the backend), the user now has the decision to either go on without login using the technical user in the backend or log into the application, therefore discarding the technical user set in the backend. Next step would be showing the user the login-page to authenticate itself.

Is that use case technically feasible and if so, how?

Hi Sven,

I don't think that this is possible.

But you could create an extenal alias entry in ICF for the OData Service being used that would require authentication.

And your app would either have to consume two OData services are you would navigate to a second app that consumes the OData Service that requires authentication.

But I have not tried this myself.

Hey Andre,

thank you for your response. You steered us in the right direction. By creating an alias we managed to refer back to our application opening the "new" login page.
