Problems in UJD_TEST_PACKAGE - AnswerPrompt

Hi gurus,

I am facing a problem, when I'm trying to automate Master Data from a flat file to a dimension. I make a prompt to load the data, but when I try to upload to the UJD_TEST_PACKAGE program, I select it from the matchcode but nothing is update in the AnswerPrompt. It appears blank.

My prompt that is places in my desk is the following one:

BW_TO_BPC_Centro_Gestor.txtu200E

and it contains:

%FILE% /sapmnt/BWD/global/ZCIC_FICHEROS_CARGA_BPC/CIC_CEGE_ENTE.csv

%TRANSFORMATION% ROOTWEBFOLDERSCICOFINANDATAMANAGERTRANSFORMATIONFILESEXAMPLESCIC_TRANSF_DM_GPFUNDSCT.xls

%DIMNAME% COSTCENTER

%UPDATE% 1

If we put the prompt manually in the AnswerPrompt an error occurs:

/CPMB/MODIFY : Completed in 0 seconds

/CPMB/CLEAR : Completed in 0 seconds

FILE /sapmnt/BWD/global/ZCIC_FICHEROS_CARGA_BPC/CIC_CEGE_ENTE.csv TRANSFORMATION ROOTWEBFOLDERSCICOFINANDATAMANAGERTRANSFORMATIONFILESEXAMPLESCIC_TRANSF_DM_GPFUNDSCT.xls DIMNAME COSTCENTER UPDATE 1

XML file (...%TRANSFORMATION%) is empty or is not found

Cannot find document/directory

Application : PRESU. Package status: ERROR

We think that the problem is in the "#" that we put as separations, but we don't know how to put this prompt in the AnswePrompt

So if you know any solution to this problem, please let me know.

Best regards,

Gorka I.

I just changed my PACKAGE ID to the relevant Data Manager Package to resolve this issue.

I just had the same issue but it was because the Data Manager Package Link presets of which packasge to run and where it was saved, were different to the Package Group names.

They had been updated after the DM Package Link was created.

I've reverted back to the previously configured Package Groups and its all ok..

After running the file via the data manager package, Did you create the file from the log file that gets stored on the UJFS directory.

The program looks for data in the table UJD_PACKAGES2. Make sure on the Selection screen of UJD_TEST_PACKAGE prgorm you enter the information as it it in the table. The program is case sensitive too...

Yes, and it works fine. The problem is that if when we select it with the matchcode of the AnswerPrompt, it's appears nothing, and if we put manually the prompt in the AnserPrompt it doesn't work, maybe because we put it wrong...

When we put manually, we put:

%FILE%#/sapmnt/BWD/global/ZCIC_FICHEROS_CARGA_BPC/CIC_CEGE_ENTE.csv##%TRANSFORMATION%#\ROOT\WEBFOLDERS\CICO\FINAN\DATAMANAGER\TRANSFORMATIONFILES\EXAMPLES\CIC_TRANSF_DM_GPFUNDSCT.xls##%DIMNAME%#COSTCENTER##%UPDATE%#1

Thanks a lot.

Did you ever find the answer to this? We are having the same problem with our NW BPC.

There seems to be a problem with the function module WS_UPLOAD inside of this program. From what I can gather, this FM is supposed to load the file into an internal table, then a second function module will turn those fields into the prompt string that will show on GUI. The problem is that WS_UPLOAD just returns an itab with 5 blank records so the program deletes those records and a blank answer prompt shows up.

Let us know if you ever resolved this.

Looks like ws_upload can go only certain levels deep into the Windows file structure to retrieve the file. Please try to save the .prompt file at C:\Desktop or some higher level directory and check if you get the same issue.

Hi,

Have you tried running the package directly through the DM?
