Suppression Rules - How to model Custom Field?

Hello together,

we have created a custom field on the campaign with ID YY1_IGNORE_SUP_RULES (Boolean Field). We would like to trigger the suppression rules if this field is not flagged with an x.

When creating the decicion table we have left this field empty as it says as a condition If CMKTSRVOCAB is not ....

Moreover how we could fulfill the following requirement that certain emails does not count as a trigger but others should count if this refers to the same interaction type? Is that possible? In other words, does count something only in reference to the decicion table if the decicion table really was triggered?

  • Hi Oliver,

Shouldn't the condition be "When YY1_IGNORE_SUP_RULES is not X"? If it's false/initial, the rule should apply, correct? Right now, it's the other way around.

(FYI: If you leave the cell empty, the framework will not generate a condition for it. So you need to design your condition in a way that the cell contains a value.)

If you want to respect only some interactions of a specific type, you need to distinguish them using a different attribute, e.g. a custom field as shown.

"does count something only in reference to the decicion table if the decicion table really was triggered?" - I don't quite understand this question. Each line of any decision table acts as an own rule. There is no way to apply a condition for a complete decision table. (Not sure if that was the point.)

Let me know if you have further questions.

    Kind regards

    Steffen
