COPA-Derivation Exit during goods issue ( MB03 – Characteristics )

Hi Experts,

I am trying to find out the enhancement for updating Reason for Movement (MSEG- GRUND) and the Movement type (MSEG- BWART ) of the MSEG-document to moved into COPA-Characteristics (WW060/WW061) when posting.

Sales Order is created; delivery/picking is performed. Goods Issue is posted based on the delivery. During this posting, two documents are created (FI & COPA): Accounting Document and Profitab.Analysis .

However, the COPA-document is not picking up through standard in the tab ‘Characteristics’.

I am not getting enhancement to achieve this. I have used BADI LE_SHP_GOODSMOVEMENT for updating other fields such as sales order and item. But it is not working for updating the fields Reason for Movement and Movement type. Please suggest.

Could you confirm if you are using costing based or account based COPA ?

You can use table look up functionality in KEDR to fetch the movement reason.

Good Day!!!

1) Prima facie, in standard SAP, Cost of delivery in Sales Order hits FI @ the time of PGI whereas the same hits CO-PA @ the time of Billing (and @ the time of Settlement in case of MTO nature). So, i am not clear on how in this case CO-PA Doc is being generated @ the time of PGI itself.

2) Could you check CO-PA Derivation Rules (KEDR)?
