fund accounting active: layout 1-701 is unsuitable

hi experts,

when iam trying to do Detail cost planning in CJR2 its showing that "fund accounting active: layout 1-701 is unsuitable".

please help me out.

Hi Abhishek,

The integration between FM and CO cannot be avoided.

You could change the planning layout so that the user is required to enter only the WBS element; the FM objects are still derived. Then, set the FM account assignment column widths to 1 and not allow input. Using this method, you still maintain the integration, but the users don't see the FM account assignments.

You are receiving this error because planing layout 1-701 does not include FM objects. In fact, all of the standard layouts do not include the necessary FM objects.

You'll need to determine what FM objects are required for an account assignment. For example, a customer might require Grants, Funds, Functional Areas, and Funded Programs to be included in the account assignments. Then use transaction OPO1 to create a new layout with these FM objects.

Building a layout is just like building a Report Painter report.

Hi Matthew,

I read your reply on the issue which I am also facing but the only thing different is I dont want to derive the FM objects in this cost planning. We want to exclude the derivation of FM objects at this cost planning (CJ40). How to achieve this status? is ther any settings?

Change with some other suitable layout. Take input of your FI as well, it practice to use user defined layouts as well.
