Pricing in Billing

Hi Friends,

1.When creating the billing, we want the sales order basic price to be update in the billing. What configuration I have to update for this?

2. Unfortunately, we have assigned price date as billing date. Is there any process by which, we can update all billing documents. Because we have not yet released for accounting. We have just gone live.

First of all in copy control VTFL, if you select your item category for the combination of your delivery type and billing type, you can see a field "Pricing Type". There if you have maintained any value other than "B", system will propose the sale order price only.

In your case, still if any billing document does not have sale order price though you maintained copy control as explained above, go to VF02, key in the billing document and execute. There select the line item and go to condition tab. There click update button so that the price from VK11 will be fetched and of course, your pricing condition should be the same as that of sale order.

    • Let me explain in a simple method

You maintain pricing condition in VK11 with validity date from 01-06-2010.

You create a sale order for the same customer and for that material on 20-06-10. Now in your sale order, the pricing date would be 20-06-10 only.

If you generate delivery and billing for this line item, your pricing date in billing will also be 20-06-10 and you can change this date manually before saving the billing document. Once you save the billing document, you cannot change this date manually.

Coming to your question, you can mass update the pricing in sale order provided if there is no subsequent document for that line item. Go to VA05, select the tab "Open sales orders" and execute. Now from top menu bar, select Edit => Mass Change => New Pricing so that for those open sale orders, new pricing will be carried out. Of course, as I said already, you should have maintained this new price in VK11.
