Questions about deliveries, invoices and returns.

Hi everybody,

PLease take a look at the following scenario:

I created a Sales Order for a customer, then I created a delivery for this order, posted PGI and created the invoice too. When we arrive to customer, he does not want for example the entire quantity of a delivery item (for example the item 10 of the delivery has quantity 10 and the customer only wants 5). How do I have to handle this situation? Taking in account that the price in the invoice depends on the quantity of the line item (if he buys 10 units, the unit price is $10, but if he buys less than 10, the unit price is for example $11).

Thanks and Regards,

The cleanest way to do this would be to reverse everything up to the order and re-price once the new quantity is input. Cancel the bill (VF02) reverse the GM (VL09) delete the delivery (VL02N) and drive the change in quantity, and therefore price, from your original sales order. This gives you clean doc flow in case you are reporting off the SO. Then delivery due could pick up the correct quantity and create a new outbound delivery.

Does your process call for a return delivery to be created for the 5 unwanted quantity?

Ideal way is to create a return order, return delivery and credit note for 5 nos. For the remaining 5 nos. lying at customer site, first you need to arrive the difference in value and generate a retro debit note via VFRB

Cancelling the entire documents generated originally is not adviceable.

    thanks
