Automatic STO based on LU schedule agreements

Hello

We use schedule agreements with type LU for STO flow in our company and we intend to migrate to S/4HANA in the near future.

We have a requirement to make STO automatic, is there an existing solution in S/4HANA knowing that we calculate MRP for materials based on PDP calculation weekly and not daily ? Because, I found this constraint to make STO automatic based on MRP areas actually in ECC where S/4HANA is not yet implemented.

I would appreciate your advise.

Hi Carole

In master data you can use weekly lot size calculation. Or you can switch off updating the scheduling agreement via MRP via customizing. In the last case, you can get warning messages from the MRP result that will warn you to manually change the schedule to avoid problems.

Not sure if I understand the business case to run MRP once per week in an S/4HANA system though.

Hi Ibtissem

You have a scheduling agreement, this consists of 2 parts: The agreement, and the delivery schedule. The delivery schedule can be updated based on MRP outcome. You can release and/or fix the delivery schedule if this is required.

All of this is available in ECC and is also available in S/4HANA. In the S4 system, you additionally have some Fiori apps to do this process.

There is a best practice available, including a config guide and test script. This might be helpful:

Hello Hofman

Thanks for your response, I'm just asking because, we are running MRP once weekly and not on daily based for some materials based on PDP. So, they suggest specific solution to update the schedule lines not based on MRP but based on material documents with specific movements. Therefore, I'm asking if there is any standard solution taking into account running MRP on weekly basis ?

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Carole
