Licensing for Payroll module - SAP R3

Hi,

Below is my scenario and i would like the licensing structure in R3 for Payroll

Our company has 35 users and wish to run payroll for these 35 users using payroll module and also we have 1000 users for whom we shall pay the offcycle payments (more than three type of payments done on monthly basis) and these 1000 users does not need any interaction or access to our system. We need to send only the payslips for those offcycle payments to 1000 employees.

Coming to the question, if we move to R3, how much license should we purchase.

1. Can we purchase only 35 license and for the rest of 1000 employees can we create them as employee master data and possible to process the offcycle payments to them?

(or)

2. It is mandatory to purchase 35 license + 1000 license to process the offcycle payments.

Note: 1000 employees shall not require to access our system in any case since all those data and regular payroll is done in their own software. We are joint ventures.

Hi Sandilyan,

Regarding the SAP licenses is depends on contract in between as you’re a customer to SAP, and also the prices you have to contact your local SAP account manager. In this case I am not sure you have to pay both option number 2 (35 SAP users licenses and 1000 users for emp master date creation).
