Udating BO client tools

Hello

Currently, I have version 12.1.2000.882 of client tools installed on my laptop (windows XP).

I need to upgrade to version 12.2.2000.290 which I believe is BO 3.1 SP2 FP2.

I am wondering whether this can be done in one update or not. If not, what is the correct order and what should I be searching for on the SAP portal.

Hi,

I don't think you can update in one shot unless there is another workaround such as using batch file.

You need to update Service Pack first and then Fix Pack.

Thanks, I suspected as much.

The problem I have is I do not know which version is next in order to get to BO 3.1 SP2 FP2. What is my current version? It's 12.1.2000.882 but that doesn't mean anything to me. I've tried to install SP2 but it doesn't work and I get a message that suggests it's not the right version.

How can I know what the version number translates to in English and what should be installed next?

Your current version is Xi3.1 Fp1.2 to get to BO 3.1 SP2 FP2 you have to install Sp2 Upgrade package, then Fp2.2 .

The message you mentioned is because you're installing Sp2 full package, while you need an Upgrade.

Thanks, in the end I completely uninstalled and reinstalled and it worked.
