mismatching of fields in lsmw

Hi Experts,

I need to create LSMW to upload parents data so that i have checked in PA0021 to get what feilds are needed to upload.i identified pernr(personnel number) famsa(type of family record) fasex( gender key) favor(firstname)fanam(lastname).

2. i have selected method as standard batch/direct input .given object "0555",method "0000".

3.while doing 5 step in lsmw the fields that i created in 3 rd step and fields in 5 thstep are mismatching except pernr.

4. tell me necessary steps in brief.

5. tell me whether my approach was correct or not.

Hey ,

at the third step ,

make sure you are creating new fields using a button provided there and maintaining there type name , size etc.

In the mapping these fields should automatically get displayed as a f4 help and you can map them on target fields.

Hi Uma,

Based on my requiremnt only I have createde source fields .but my problem is in fieldmapping the fields are differnt when compared to source fields which i create din 3 rd step.

Please elaborate in detail. I am not bale to understand this now.

It would be solved in a while if specified exactly.

at the time of mapping are u able to see the list of all of ur source fields in a dialog?

1.(a).In 3rd step "maintain source fields" i have taken fields pernr,famsa(type of family record),fasex(gender),favor(firstname),fanam(lastname).

(b).In 5step 'maintain field mapping and conversion rules" i have fields like pernr,begda(startdate),werks(personnel area),persg(employee group),persk(employee subgroup)etc. due to different fields in 3rd step and in 5thstep i am unable to do mapping.

2.In 1st step i have chosen standard batch/direct input method where object "0555" metgod "0000". can we do with this method??or shall i do with other method.if other method what approach i have to follow. please tell me briefly.

Hello,

The fields in step 3 must have the same or less length as the step 5 may have .

If they are not matching then please change the field length and data type of the 3rd step.

Hi Naresh,

The Object 0555 and method 0000 specified are Used to upload only Master Data

but not to update table PA0021. Thats why Fields are not mapping,

Search for another object or follow recording procedure .
