What can cause a potential MRP request to not get generated?

I know it includes, existing open reqs, existing open POs, and transfers from another division. But are there other situations that I am not aware of that would prevent a requisition from getting created during a MRP run (MD01)?

Let us also assume everything is set up correctly on the material.

Thank you in advance for any answers you can provide.

Thank you again Leonardo. I reviewed each step in the thread discussion and much to my dismay the products that did correctly generate an MRP match exactly the one that did not. I think maybe, the next thing to do is to remove the product and extend it back to the plant to see if that helps? seems like there is some kind of disconnect.

Hi,

Now you formulated a better scenario for a complete understanding. The first question become quite generic.

So, try to see one similar article that may help you cross check what is making this plant different enough to unable auto MRP run there.

Hi Nelson,

l hope you are well.

l think the most basic situations could be related toany master data anywhere.

Another special attention to any entry of materials missing or something in the Planning File (what they usualy maintain also in MD20) and so on. You also may consider existence of any customization or usage of any user exit related.

Let me know your comments if that info above is enough and useful to you.

Thank you Leonardo! I agree that the master data, if not set up correctly, will have an effect. There is no customization in the MRP process for us but looking at the planning file to determine if something is there that causes a material to not generate a purchase requisition when it appears everything is set up correctly is a good place to look.

My problem is I have a material that is extended to twelve plants. Eleven of those plants generate the MRP process successfully every time. There is one plant that does not generate the MRP process for the material and each month we have to execute it manually. The manual execution works great but the automated one does not for this one plant. I am seriously confused as to why that may be the case.
