Partner Determination

Dear Gurus,

I am using an Account Group "A" where partner function SP, SH, BP and PY appear by default.

In some business scenario I have a partner as well, that partner customer master is created through "Joint Venture" account group.

Now I want that in my customer master partner fuction I call that particular customer created through joint venture account group.

So that it can store as a partner, and while creating invoice script I can print the general detial of both mine and my partner.

Can any one tell me the step wise configuration step for this..

Hi Imran,

Go to: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Functions --> Partner Determination --> Setup Partner Determination --> Setup Partner Determination for Customer Master --> Click on Partner Functions on the dialog structure on your left hand column. Here, define your additional partner Joint Venture as JV.

Then, for "JV" partner function, PartnerTy = KU (Customer) and you may remove the checkbox for Uniqueness of the Partner function if you are allowing this partner function to be used more than once in the customer master data or in the vendor master data.

Then on the dialog structure on your left, click on "Partner Determination Procedures", click on select "AG" and double click on "Partner Functions in Procedure".

Click on New Entries and add your newly defined Partner Function = JV. For this function to appear as default, check the box Mandatory function and it will automatically appear as default when you create a new customer using the Account Group where the partner determination procedure "AG" is assigned.

Its really works, but I stop at the same place..

I done the same step configuration, and when customer master that particular partner function is coming, but when I input the customer number already created in the system with JV account group system give me the following message "Customer JV9999 is not defined for function JV (table TPAKD)

Message no. F2643".

Problem is this JV customer is created with Joint venture account group and I am using Account Group lets say ABC, the particular customer is not calling in that partner function... Hope you will now understand the problem and advise.
