PR release strategy

Gurus,

I want to activate PR release strategy with 2 levels & with item level rel.If the PR is having 2 items,if the first level releases 2 items & 2 level wants to release only item what happens? will teh system allow?

Hi,

You have use 2 release strategy.

one rel. stratey for 2 level rel.

another 1 level relase.

with classification u can control either the item 1 reqiured 2 level rel. or 1 level.

the same for item 2.

Please can you explain the logic of your requirement.

because.

Item 1 :rel required 2 level rel . what are all the Charatestic value you want control the line item one required to release.

Item 2 : Rel .required 1 level rel. what are the char. value you wat to give.

My question is u are telling example 2 line item in your PR. But not be there always only 2 line items. if 3 line items if enter then what alogic u are enter for that one.

so, give me the parametrs you are taking for PR rel. strategy. Like : Pur. grp, Plant , Item value, Total value .. etc..

then easy to provide solution..

Yes, the GM will see 2 lines for approval. He can approve either line or both lines. If he approves one line, only that line has release indicator approved and that line is released, the other line still has release indicator, not approved and the second line is not released.

When the 2 level releases one item, only that item is approved and PR released for that item only.

2nd item will not be released yet, until that line is approved as well from 2 level approver.
