How does Flow work in BOFC

Hi all,

I am not able to understand how excatly a flow works..in SAP BOFC..

Do any one have any documents relating to what these flow are and how they help in consolidation..

As per I understand they are defined as new acquisitions, retirements etc...and we have to link them to the accounts deifned in the chart of accounts..But are they only for assets or can a flow be defined for other accounts also...

If someone has a flow defined, please can share, how different flows are linked to different accounts.

Hi Prity,

have you read the Financial Consolidation help and the User Guide? There is something written down about flows and account families. You have one opening flow, one flow for changes (increase, decrease, ...) and one closing flow.

For the moment some sentences from my point of view to flows:

- flows are defined in the Dimension Builder

- flows are linked to accounts in Category Scenario

- each account must be linked to one flow-set

- every flow-set can contain different flows

If you read the User Guide, your questions will be cleared.
