Set up Integration SAP <--> GIS (ESRI preferred)

Hei folks,

before i ask you for something maybe a couple of words what we`ve planned to do. We are using a SAP-ERP 6.0 EhP7. We`re experts in the Asset-Management field. What we want to do: We wanna set up a connection between our SAP-System and a GIS-System.

Functions we do expect from this scenario:

- Displaying SAP Business-Objects on a map

- Editing those data out of a map

- Integrated map in SAP-GUI

- Polygon-Function

- Access the same data regardless of which system you`re using (GIS or SAP). They should access the same data-record in order to avoid corrupt data.

Now i`ve just a simple question. Are there any documentations, information or similiar sources which describes how an integration could be set up between SAP-System and GIS like ESRI? Any experts here who could help me out?

I would be so grateful for every hint you have.
