I have a dataload for Time Dependant Master Data attributes ( 0HRPOSITION ), the Time Interval in the infopackage is set to 01.01.2000 to 31.12.9999. My problem is when a Position has been terminated, e.g
Previously before the termination the records extracted are:
01.01.2000 to 31.12.2007
01.01.2008 to 31.12.9999
After the termination the records extracted are:
01.01.2000 to 31.12.2007
01.01.2008 to 31.12.2009
But in the Masterdata the records are:
01.01.2000 to 31.12.2007
01.01.2008 to 31.12.2009
01.01.2010 to 31.12.9999 With previous details being recorded against this record not blanks as I would hope/expect . And this is where my problem is.
I canu2019t remove the records prior to loading as these exist in other Masterdata/Infoproviders and Iu2019ve tried changing dates on the Infopackage.
Could any one advise how I can get round this issue, this is a 3.1 BW system.
Thanks
Hi Jenny,
the only way to handle this is to have an indicator saying this position is terminated for the timeperiod beyond the termination date.
Consider using this field in the 0HR_POSITION_ATTR datasource "REDUN - Indicator: Position (etc.) Obsolete?"
Good luck,
vijay

I did not see any issue with this. Or I did not understand your issue correctly
Previously before the termination the records extracted are:
01.01.2000 to 31.12.2007
01.01.2008 to 31.12.9999
After the termination the records extracted are:
01.01.2000 to 31.12.2007
01.01.2008 to 31.12.2009 (position is terminated as of 31.12.2009)
But in the Masterdata the records are:
01.01.2000 to 31.12.2007
01.01.2008 to 31.12.2009
01.01.2010 to 31.12.9999 (Since its time dependent data, by default this record would be created when u activate master data).
