SAP C4C Extend COD_DATA_WORKBENCH_EXPORT.WCVIEW

Hi,

I try to extend COD_DATA_WORKBENCH_EXPORT.WCVIEW, but I don't find an option in the UI Design where can do it, or I need to do with an extended component created from SAP Cloud Applications Studio. Thanks so much for your help.

Hello Diego,

The Data Workbench is an administrative tool designed to perform data migration. Considering that this is a critical topic for the majority of users, this tool is not available for modifications like this. Any changes on this functionallity can only be deployed by the development team responsible for the tool.

Do you know for some workaround or an alternative solution?. The new button that I wanted to add, would have a function to navigate to another screen with the inputs to program download. So, with your response support, now I don´t know how to emulate or find an alternative to that function.

Hello Diego,

Since the Data Workbench screen is an embedded component, it is not possible to modify it with the SDK. This is to prevent any issues with the core functionallity caused by customization.

If you need suggestions from other users, I suggest you to create a new community topic explaining with more details what would be the button functionallity, so other people can share their experiences and provide some additional inputs.
