Hi,
We are running on "SAP EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.1" for PI. I am required to do a heterogeneous system copy from Production to Sandbox.While going through the SDN blogs, it looks like that there is a difference in doing system copy on PI systems in comparision to ECC & BI.
Does the export/import methods are not applicable for such operations? Could you please let me know about the guide availability on SDN for PI as well?
Thanks
/A

Dear Abhi,
please find the guide "System Copy for SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1 EHP1" on SMP at
http://service.sap.com/installNWPI71
-> 2 - Installation - SAP NetWeaver Systems
Please make sure you download the guide for double-stack (ABAP+JAVA).
Best regards,
Harald Keimer

Be aware that you need a certified migration consultant for that copy, otherwise you'll loose support for problems during the migration and for the target system.

Dear Abhishek,
basically this is about copying a Netweaver double-stack system. The db related procedures shall not depend on the usage type of the system (BI, EP, PI,...). However, please note that the guides in general provide detailed instructions for follow-up activities depending on the actual usage type. These instructions do need to be followed meticulously.
For 7.11 the system copy is available for usage type PI only. Because of this you won't find instructions for usage types other then PI in that particular guide.
Best regards,
Harald Keimer
