Creating Templates for each report

Hi All,

I am new to BO..I want to know is there any way to copy the report template from one report to other.For ex:I want to create 5 reports under one universe.Instead of creating the report template for each report can i use same report template to other reports also? Please explain.

And also Is there any thread available to know step by step process of BO report & query creation?..Please let me know.

Hi Vinoth,

You can create a template save it with a particular name.

Now when you are creating a report open the template Save as -> Give the new name to report. Now the template will get saved with the new name. Now click on edit query icon, modify the query as required and refresh it. Drag the objects

in the block. and save the report.

If you want to use the same tempalte for other tab in the same report. Right click on the tab name and select Duplicate report.

Thanks for your update.But I hope the solution provided by you will helps if I use the same universe to create all the reports.But my scenario is I need to create a report from the new universe.Is this possible to create the template without the base of any universe? correct me if I wrong.. And also please provide step by step analysis link if you have...
