Default Screen Variant in FB50, FB60, FB70

Hello All,

i created a screen variant in SHD0.

I can now see it in my list in FB50, FB60, FB70, but I want it to default without having me to select it.

Does anyone know how to do this? I have looked in FB00 and its not an option.

Hi ,

You can set the transaction variant as desault one for a transaction code In T-cd:SHD0->standard variant tab-> press activate button( the first one beside the name field). after above setting, you can to to FB50 or FB60 or FB70 to check whether this variant is set as default by menu: system->status->

Transaction FB60

Transaction variant ZFB60 <<<< the variant you set as default in SHD0 can be confirmed here.

Program (screen) SAPMF05A

Screen number 1100

Addition, if you set a trasnaction variant as default, then it will be used as default for all users as well. this setting in SHD0 is not user dependent.

Hello -

I am asking about screen variants. So if you go to FB50/60/70 and click tree on, you will see screen variants.

I believe transaction variants are only used if you are created a variant for a new transaction code, which i am not.

Any clues?

Hey Gladys -

do you know the different between a screen variant and the table setting configuration in FB50?

Table settings is the white,yellow, blue square thing at the end of the columns?

Hi Emmas,

Yes, the table control setting is the mark with Blue, yellow, while colour button at the left top of subscreen for entering G/L line items.please refer to enlcosed file:table control button.xlsx below.

The screen variants is a kind of shape for FB50./60/70 (columns visible/invisible,column sequence). and there is another funcition called "assignment templates" are intended to provide the content on G/L account sub-screen for FB50/60/70.

Sceen variant can be set for every screen called in FB50.60.70. while table control can only control field is visible or invisible, enlarge or reduce the field length for G/L account sub-screen. both of them can control field is visible or not for G/L account sub-screen.

I tried to enlosed the file:table control button.xlsx here.unfortunately I can not do it, I am not sure why, anyway you mentioned button is correct, that is table control button, if you put cursor in this button, configuraton" will be displayed.
