Hi Bpc Friends

A guy in Finance likes to have the data package logs file for two years, also in the epm add-in he uploads file like backup of actual data, journal and so on.

The problem is that file have an impact on the performance.

So where should I save the data package log file older than for example three months?

Thanks

Michele

DM package log files have minimum effect on performance, just space used on the server (in ujfs). You can always move logs to some file server, but the user will not see the moved logs in EPM interface.

P.S. Data files can be moved without any issues.

ok so is it ok to have log file very old?

because the Finance person need this for example for package that run once or twice a year but the housekeeper deleted those file and he got disappointed

regarding Data files what do you recommend? could we save in a share drive that is not BPC?

Thanks

"so is it ok to have log file very old?" - it depends on your server storage in general!

"could we save in a share drive that is not BPC?" - Yes!

so is more a space problem than performance ploblem?

More space, more time to backup... (if you are doing daily UJBR)
