Hi Gurus:

Does any body have an idea, why this report shows the key figure "Returns QTY" in a negative qty???

I switch drilldown by Material and in the key figure Returns QTY appears negative quantities.

Please, any ideas.....

Hello Daniel

Please check the updating rule for the required Infostructure (e.g. S001) and Update group (stats) (e.g. 2 SIS: Returns, Returns Delivery, Credit Memo) using T code MC26.

In the next screen double click on the required Key figure - Returns Quantity- and in the pop up window- see the section - Extended Update Rules- What is the formula you have there? That may be causing the Figure to be a negative one.

Hope this helps.

Hi Chandrasekhar:

I checked the info structure S001 (Customer) and the info structure S004 (Material) with the update group 2, and in both info structure, the key figure Returns qty, has the formula 100 (Source Field * (-1)).

Do i have to change the formula????

Regards.

No, You are fine. Don't change it. But run a check while in MC26 using the 'check' icon or (Shift + F6) once to see if anything is wrong with the update rule. I am guessing it will be fine, i.e., it will have some yellows (warnings) but no errors.

It appears that because of the update date field ( in the section 'Date Field for period determination', we may run into negative values particularly when one period ends and another opens. Particularly if you use "VDATU' as the date filed value.

See the following OSS note, then may be change the date field to ERDAT using a custom (user-defined) update rule.
