Central system for ECC is available from OS level but not showng under SM51

Hi,

we have an ECC system with 1 Central instrance and 2 application servers. suddely during business hours we have observed that central instance is not availble. from GUI we tried to login but not happening. when checking the same from SM51 we are able to see only the application servers but central instance is missing. from OS level I have checked the processes and it is showing running. and also nothing is available under trace files like dev_disp, dev_w0 and so on.

What might be the problem cause of this? all the three servers are on different hosts.

Please help.

Hi,

Please check whether can u able to log on CI through OS level. if its required tri to restart the servers(CI as well Application servers)...

check DB services/ SAP services.

Hi,

thanks all for your suggestions.

This problem has been resolved by restarting the LPAR. there was some problem with shared memory.

You may check the message server log file (dev_ms) because this is the one where all servers connect.
