Hi all,
we want to use loftware label printing and setup all in ME and in loftware so far.
When use a windows printer there is now alias for the printer available, so the printer in Loftware is :
"
servername\printer01" but unfortunatly this name is not allowed to use with me because of the backslashes.
Any idea how het the right name in *.pas file or to setup #Printernumber in ME?
regards,
Karsten
Do you sure?
I have a sdk workspace here and the loftware formatter is part of that.
I tought Sundar Chakravarthy told me, its not guaranteed to be updated in future versions.
But beside of that do you see another easy way to solve the matter?
thanks,
Karsten

Hello,
As per the setup we had used our printer name were never like "
server name\printer name"
The simple reason behind it was we need to have network printer with ethernet port available, these printer have to installed directly on network. (Zebra) so we always have the printer name directly available in network.
I guess this is the only solution to this problem.

Hi Sergiy,
when the printer is not a local one, the physical printer name in loftware begins with a network path.
The ugly solution is to change the *.pas file from ME with a batch job, substitute the name and drop the files to loftware input folder, but I think of a formatter in ME? that means SDK, right?

Karsten,
If I understand to logic of configuration, you should assign a name to the physical printer in Loftware and then use this name to create a printer in ME. Can you create a name without backslashes in Loftware?
Backslash is illegal character for key fields in ME, as I remember.

Sergiy
