Batch management require while extending material

I want to extend material which does not have batch activated, but new material has to be extend with batch management. While extending system gives display error of batch management because stock and orders are available against reference material.

What to do?

Hi Rosan,

The batch management is activated at the client level of the material, so if for the same material if one plant has activated batch management then if you extend the material to other plants the batch management has to be selected.

Hello Roshan,

If I understand your Q

I think you are not able to Extend material from non-batch management to be batch management if stock already exist

so, in this case, you create new material with batch management and transfer stock from material to material

After doing that don't forget to replace new material in all Orders/BOM/Routing

Or

Remove stock for this material by 562 and extend your view then do 561 again
