SAP WM Preallocated Stock Not bypassing GR and Putaway in GI Area

Hi,

I have maintained the following to bypass the put away into GI Area in ECC 6.0

1. Preallocated Stock maintained for the material in the Preallocated stock Table V_T310 using LT51.

2. Movement type 101 is set to consider the preallocated stock.

I created the Put away TO and the preallocated button is enabled and the I could calculate the selected quantity. However the put away is going to the final destination bin. It is not bypassing the normal put away bin and goes to the GI area even though I have an open reservation for the same material.

The GR and GI are working as per our put away and picking strategy.

The actual quantity is updated for each GR. As soon as the Target quantity and the Actual quantity are same, then the preallocated stock table record for the material is deleted.

But our requirement is to bypass the normal put away destination bin and move GR quantity to GI Qty.

Am I missing any settings? Has anyone used this functionality?

Didn't you set the same setting for the WM movement type which used for GI?

Thx.. It is set for movement types 101 and 201 .but still it is not bypassing the regualr putaway bin.

Please neglect my previous post, no need for setting the indicator for GI WM-movement type.

Your problem is not clear.

- First you say that the quantity goes from GR interim storage type directly to GI interim storage type (e.g. from 902 to 911)

- After that you say that you don't want to putaway the goods into the nromal storage bin but directly to the GI interim storage type

So, first you say your requirement is fulfilled then you say you want to fulfill your requirement.

Please clarify this. (maybe I just can't understand what you want)

As per your description your system is working properly.

Thx for your reply. I did not say that the material is moved from GR Area(902) to GI area(911).

That is the issue for the preallocated stock. We have a stock out situation and the preallocated stock table is maintained. Once we get the stock, the system should not suggest the normal bin to putaway. If there is an entry in the preallocated table, it should directly cross dock the receipt to the GI staging Area.

In my example, GR and GI processes are working independently. The Preallocated table is updated with the actual quantity.

It is behaving as normal GR and GI.

My questions are :

With my Current Settings, the preallocated stock is not transferred directly from the GR interim storage Area to GI interim storage Area. Has anyone used this functionality? Am I missing any settings? Is the preallocated functionality described in the SAP documentation not accurate?

Hi,

I maintaiuned the setting / transactional data described in SAP online help:

- preallocation indicator maintained for putaway movement type (WM-mvt 101)

- record in LT51 created (destination storage type 911, destination storage bin: 0000001000)

Based on settings in IM-WM interface a TR is generated for GR. Processing this TR in foreground from LB10. I got the message that

Material xxxx is pre-allocated stock.
Message no. L3090

I chose "Pre-allocated stock" button in LT04 and system automatically suggested the data maintained in LT51.

I defined the quantity, created and confirmed the TO and quant was moved directly to 911 0000001000 from GR interim storage type/dynamic bin.

So, it is working.

Hi Csaba,

I found the reason for it. There was a mistake in the preallocation table entry. I had the source storage type and the source storage bin in the preallocation table. I changed it to the destination interim storage type and the destination storage bin. It is working now.
