IDX2 Idoc metadata import error

Hi

When i tried to import the Metadata in IDX2, the metadata is updating, it s populating old and new fields

As i deleted the one field in IDoc but when i imported the metadata in IDX2 the deleted field is also populating.

I tried couple of times by deleting and reimporting the metadata,

any ideas why its populating old values

is the IDoc released? Only then the metadata changes will be reflected

Hi,

Before you import the metadata you have to remove the previous data.

Ex: you want to import the orders.orders05 idoc metadata once you change that idoc, before import you have to delete the orders.orders05 (old) metadata already existing one.

Once you delete the old data then you import the present metadata.

Hi ,

As you might have the segments are released (check status for all field once again ) and IDX2 you have deleted the exsiting metadata and loaded the metadata with correct port.

Could you please try importing the IDOC again in IR. and see the structure.

All the segment fields are in released state, when i imported the IDOC in IR showed me the correct structure.

Ok here is the thing.

Just delete the Metadata from IDX2, and whenever you will next time run your or send your IDOC from R/3 system, it will automatically get loaded in IDX2 with new structure.

One more thing, please check in WE02/ WE05 transaction in R/3 system that, over there the old field is getting populated or not?

Make sure you are uploading it from the correct system. Check the Port and it's RFC destination in IDX1 if it is pointing to the R3 system where your IDOC is residing.
