Hello everybody,
I have the local problem on my computer with the bpc for excel client. When I open BPC Excel and open the eData Menu then bpc loads something from the bpc system and later my excel showa me the following error message: "An error occurred while adding excel menus. Object variable or with block variable not set."
I have uninstalled my bpc office an reinstalled it. I have deleted my bpc-program-folder and my "documents/bpc"-folder but the error still exists.
Has anybody an answer?
Hello,
I have the same problem with SAP BPC 7.5 SP4
When I click "Manage data" in interface for Excel, I get an error "An error occurred while adding Excel menus". Then Action Pane opens Manage Data Options. But when I click for example on "Upload data files" I get "object variable or with block variable not set " with head of diallog "ev4clientDataMgr".
In Excel Trust Center I enable all macros and trust access to VBA.

Hi Jav
This issue was resolved in 7M SP4, as per SAP Note 1345060, but you mention that you have the NW client, you might get some luck on the NW forum, but unfortuately I have seen this issue on clients on post MS SP's I would suggest the following:
If this is happening on multiple users machines, meaning that it is potenially pointing to a server issue, reset the COM+ OsoftDMServer component credentials and restart IIS.
If it is isolated to a certain client machines, then it would point to a user client machine issue.
Enable client side traces to get more information (use the below SAP notes for more info)

I have also read that re-registering Xceedzip.dll file helped some people, on other occasions it didnt resolve the issue.
You could also try to repair the office installation and then reinstall the BPC client. If this doesnt work, you can try to repair your .NET installation (See below MS KB for some help)

Hope this helps
Kind Regards

Hi,
Just enable the excel macro this will solve the issue. You can do that from excel option-->Trust Center.
