Reassign development files to another activity after activate the actiivity

Hi, expert.

I have an activity contains 4 development files. Says: File1, File2, File3, File4. After I activated the the activity, we realized that we want to separate FIle3 and File4 to another activity for a different release at later time.

Is that a way to reassign the File3 and File4 to another existing activity (newly created OR already activated activity)?

If this cannot be done, how did you resolve the similar problem if you came across this issue before?

Hi KC,

You can not remove or add objects from/to a closed activity. As all activated or released activities are closed, vour scenario will not work.

If you want files 1 and 2 seperated from 3 and 4, create a new activity for 3 and 4, where you undo your changes and activate & release this one: your old activity is a dependency of this new one. You can transport this activity over your systems.

After this you can create again an activity for file 3 and 4 with the new functionality.
