Dear friends,
There will be integration from Newyork PI system to SAP ECC system in WALNUT.When the message sent between these 2 systems with latency 50 to 200 ms what is the impact of delay for message transmission to target system.
Need your help ASAP
Renu.
Hi
When you talk about latency it is depend on the Interface development and mapping logic and volume of data, give some more information about your interface req and design.
Try to identify throughput also, if you want to increase through put and letancy better to implement message packaging.

Hi Renu,
We can't say exactly how much time it takes, because this time depends on many things.
1. System hardware support
2. Based on the Adapter (If it is Idoc or HTTP the performance is high)
3. Size of the message you want to transmit.
4. Based on configuration also it depends if you are using integrated configuraiton then the performance is also high than normal scenario.
5. If you are using the FTP server then it needs to validate the FTP credentials so it consumes some time.
......... Like this time is dependent on many things, we can't say exactly howmuch time it takes.
Check 821267 OSS Notes in 14th question.

its more of how you can tune your system for a better performance.
You will find some tips here - http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/2016a0b1-1780-2b10-97bd-be3ac62214c7
What is your Target system?
What is your exact scenario? Can you please eloborate little more?
Thanks,
Hetal
