Hi Experts,

I have started the SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 Ready support release-1 installation on the AIX-6.1 with DB2 9.7

I got the error in the execution phase i.e Update database registry.

The sapinst log shows the error :

WARNING[E] 2010-06-21 20:34:08.128

FSL-04008 Unable to access application /db2/db2pe1/sqllib/adm/db2set. No such file or directory

WARNING[E] 2010-06-21 20:34:08.130

MUT-03025 Caught ESyException in Modulecall: A task could not be started. No such file or directory.

ERROR 2010-06-21 20:34:08.962

FCO-00011 The step UpdateDB2Registry with step key |NW_ABAP_OneHost|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_Onehost_System|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|NW_CreateDBandLoad|ind|ind|ind|ind|10|0|NW_CreateDB|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_DB6_DB|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|NW_DB6_UpdateDb2Registry|ind|ind|ind|ind|13|0|UpdateDB2Registry was executed with status ERROR .

I have checked that sapinst didn't created the /sqllib directory in the system and even DB2 database instance is not created in the system. The db2set.log is zero bytes and has no data in the log file.

Kindly, look in to the issue and provide the solution

Thanks & Regards,

Reddy.

Hi,

Please see my reply in this thread:

Should resolve the issue where the sqllib directory is not being created ...

Kind Regards,

Chris

Do you have sqllib directory created ? if not, that could means you do not have the

db2 instance created successfully !!!!

sqllib directory is the one created for creating db2 instance.

try make use of db2ilist command to verify if db2 instance db2pe1 exists.

u can create db2 instance db2pe1 by db2icrt command.
