Stock transfer inspection - 08

Hi,

There are 2 plants A and B. Stock is transferred from Plant A to Plant B. Inspection type origin 08 is active in material master in plant B.

With reference to purchase order, an outbound delivery is created in plant A. As soon as the PGI is done for outbound delivery in plant A, inbound delivery is created in plant B and stock transfer inspection lot is getting trigerred automatically at this moment itself in plant B.

Actually if i am not wrong, the inspection lot for stock transfer should be created in plant B only after the goods receipt is done. We are working with handling unit conecpt.

If the mvt that you are using to do the stock transfer ,has inspection lot origin 08 then 08 inspection lot will be created in inbound delivery.

When actual material document will be created against the Inbound delivery the 01 inspection lot can also be created.

Just check the possibility by activating 01 inspection type in plant B for that material.

What I means is 08 lot created after inbound is a obvious process.

Hi Sujit,

The movement type that we are using to do the stock transfer does not have inspection lot origin 08. Also I do not want 2 inspection lot to be trigerred one for 08 and one for 01.

I want only 1 inspection lot for stock transfer and only after GR.

Best way is to have the 08 inspection type lot as soon as Inbound delivery is created.This is stock relevant lot & has all the features of 01.

or

Deactivate 08 & use 01 after MIGO

A stock transfer is trigerred by the material movements involed, not that it is a GR. You should review the material documents involved in this process and determine which movements you want to trigger the 08. Than you can disable QM for the other material movements.
