"Universal" MIME-Type problem using ArchLink

Hi,

I encountered a problem using ArchiveLink.

I attach documents via "Services for Document". I configured my document types w/o specifying document class, because I wanted to avoid MIME-type-check at the point of attaching the doc. Customer uses many different types of attachments, therefore I wanted to avoid creating a new document type for each mime-type.

Files are transferred to connected DMS, but arrive with file extension "*.___", therefore the viewer does not work properly.

How can I configure one document type per business object AND get the correct extension into my DMS?

Thanks in advance for help and sorry for my English...

No ideas, how I can customize a document type capable of transferring multiple mime-types via archlink?

I am stuck here... and wouldn't like to customize 100+ document types just to cover the most common mime-types for all desired business objects. Isn't there any possibility to avoid SAP's file extension check?

Example: Document type is customized w/o specific mime-type in SAP. I transfer a doc by drag&dropping it into services for object. Filename was "test.pdf". The file arriving in DMS is called 000004a.___ without any notice of previous filename.

If I customize the document type using the specific mime-type "PDF", file arrives as PDF in DMS, but I am only allowed to drag PDF's into the SAP-box for document upload...

This is kind of frustrating...
