open item clearing

Hi,

At the time of manual clearing of open items , we need to provide a clearing date.

In it,It shows all the open items irrespective of posting dates beyond clearing date. As a result some open items are cleared with desired clearing date which are greater than clearing date. So, cleared items are still fallen having balance as on date.is it possible to restrict the list of open items based on clearing date only, ie when we provide clearing date, open item list is restricted to only those which are under or equal to clearing dates.
