Crystal Reports Eclipse integration

Hello,

We have Crystal Reports XI and we are planning of using Crystal Reports for report development with Java.

I have few queries, it would be great if someone could answer the following as it would help us in making the final decision.

Do the reports already created in Crystal X1work with Crystal Reports for Java (Eclipse Edition), redesign them again or do we have to buy Crystal 2008 for the report development.?

Will it support report exporting in Excel, Word, HTML and PDF format?

Does the Eclipse web based report viewer provide same functionality as that of .Net?

Thanks,

Venkatesh

    Hi,

your CRXI Reports will work with Crystal rEports for Eclipse , you will have all the functionalities what you were having in Crystal XI with added functionalities of Crystal Reports Eclipse.

You will have all the exporting features.

Does the Eclipse web based report viewer provide same functionality as that of .Net?

Crystal reports for Eclipse supports Crystal Java API's and not .NET, however behaviour is same.

    Regards,

    Jon
