E-mail SMTP setup

Hi,

I´m getting the following error when I try to send an e-mail through the e-mail Notification´s functionality: u201CCannot send this email, the SMTP setup is not complete or the sender´s email address is not Readyu201D.

I've set up the variables related to the SMTP mail settings at the AppSet Parameters: SMTPAUTH, SMTPPASSWORD, SMTPPORT, SMTPSERVER and SMTPUSER

I have tried options 0,1 and 2 in SMTPAUTH.

I have tried smtp server ip and smtp server name in SMTPSERVER.

SMTPPORT: Default (25)

Checks already done:

- I have already checked that the email address with the user and password given is working properly independently from SAP BPC.

- Doing Ping / Telnet from the server of SAP BPC to check/review that there is some kind of answer from the email server through the port 25 and there are no firewalls restricting it.

- The sender´s e-mail address is correct

Version: SAP BPC 7.1 - SQL

Hi,

Thanks, the problem is solved.

The problem was that the receiver´s e-mail must be written in the

security - user details and I was writing it directly in "to" option of

E-mail notification
