dimension id display like Dimensionname:ID

Hi all,

Dimension id displaying with DIMENSIONNAME:ID for few accounts, If i generate a EVDRE() report its displaying like. for example

11001

ACCOUNT:11002

ACCOUNT:11003

11004

11005

11006

11007

i have verified the mbraccount and dimaccount , inside the database id value is 11002 and 11003 only, i dont know how its displaying with

ACCOUNT:11002

ACCOUNT:11003

Anyone have idea please share.

Hi Shoba,

If i use the TIMEID directly ofcourse i am getting the value, if i user EVTIM i am not gettting, the reason for using the LEFT function is to get only year

For example

Cell A2 =2010.TOTAL , using the LEFT(A2,4), & ".JAN" we are getting the first month value to the A3 = 2010.JAN like this,

based on A3 value, we are using EVTIM("APPNAME",A3,1) to get result to A4 = 2010.FEB.

Instead of LEFT funtion i tried EVPRO also, but no use.

To get year if i use evtim with offset 1 means i will get 2011.TOTAL , How do i get 2010.Jan? That's the main reason to use the LEFT function.Any other idea from your side.

Hi Shoba,

As you mentioned yes i have same member ID in Two dimension.

In the template i am using the EVDRE() to get values , To get year from Current view i am using LEFT() excel function.To get months i am using EVTIM() Function.

i believe its getting issue with TIME function for GLACCOUNT:110003, GLACCOUNT:110004.

Please share if you faced the same issue.

Venkii,

In that case can you try specifying the time IDs directly instead of using any functions and check if you are able tt retrieve data. Also, I donot understand why you are using LEFT() function when EVTIM(appname,member,offset) alone would suffice to get the year and month.

My template design is like below

ROW DIMENSION:GLACCOUNT

Values are below

110001

110002

GLACCOUNT:110003

GLACCOUNT:110004

110005

110006

110007

110008

Column Dimension:are TIME,PROFITCENTER,CATEGORY

values like below

2010.APR(We are using LEFT Excel function),2010.MAY(We are using EVTIM function)

M00002

F01

Problem is

For (110001,110002,110005,110006,110007110008) I am getting the correct result

For (GLACCOUNT:110003 ,GLACCOUNT:110004) I am not getting the correct result, i am getting the blank.

This template working fine in EXCEL2003

Action taken is : process dimension

Please advise.

Hi Venkii,

Are you using EVGET to retrieve these values? If so specify the accounts as "GLACCOUNT:110003" & "GLACCOUNT:110004".

As mentioned before, dimension name gets prefixed when you have same member IDs (110003, 110004 in your case) for any of the other dimensions in your application. Please check this as well.

Hi,

This issue happens when you have the same dimension member ID in different dimension.

This things are to be taken care if you are using EVGET etc.

You can change this ID to some ID which is not present in other dimension and save and Process the dimension. It wont show the dimension name in front of dimension member.

Even if it displays the dimension name also there is no issue.
