Expairy date During STO

Former Member

Hi all,

We hava self lief process. During our initial GR we enter the manufacture date so that it calculates the Expairy date( 20.11.2010)& when we do the UD we can change this Expairy date as we like . Similarly we change the one particular batch numbers expairy date from 20.11.2010 to 20.5.2011.

So new expairy date id 20.5.2011.for the batch.

How we have the problem

In case if this Batch is transfered through STO( stock transport order plant to plant ) it taked the old expairy date instead of new Expairy date ( ie., it take 20.11.2010 instead of 20.5.2011.

How to overcome this issue?

Pl advice.

I beleive the users will get an informational message about recalulating the expriation date when the GR is done on the STO. I believe then can tell the system not to change the date. Are they not getting that warning?

Dear Santha,

While STO the system calculates expiry date on the basis of material master. There is no solution to your problem.

You have to watch the cases where you change expiry manually and after STO change expiry using MSC2N.
