Structural Authorizations for Qualification Catalog in the Portal ESS

Good Night.

Dear Experts.

I have the following requirement:

We have implemented HR and in this moment we are implementing Employee Self-Service(ESS). In the component of HR-PD we have a Qualification Catalog(Objects Q and QK) that work fine. The company want in this moment that the employees in the portal(ESS) can only display/update some Qualification Catalog.

For example the Qualification Catalog is following:

But the company want that in the portal (ESS), the employee only can display this of the following form:

I have read that this can be solved using Structural Authorizations, but I am new with this and I don't know How begin.

Anyone can help me with this.

Hi Carment,

ESS allows the employee to view/update qualifications infotype (0024). By default, it fetech F4 values of infotype 0024 & displayed in portal.

However, if you want to restrict or set the visibility of the catalog -- you can do this in spro

Personnel Management --->>> Employee Self Services --->>> Service specific settings -->>>

Career & Job -->>> Skills profile --->>> Define Root qualifications group.

Structural authorizations can be implemented in spro for each sub-module specific (LSO, E-rec etc). However there is no such node for qualification profile.

Try to search for note in SAP service marketplace to implement Structural authorizations in Organizational managment (OM) module to restrict the visibility of catalog.
