bill of exchange is real or statistical

Dear Forum,

For bill of exchange, we have bill payable and bill receivable.

I would like to know if bill of exchange recorded in system is for statistical purpose or real.

For bank guarantee payable or receivable, it is statistical. for down payment it is real.

So I would like to know when booking bill of exchange, it is considered as real or statistical in system.
