Process Mapping

Hi All,

We are tryi9ng to define a process where as soon as the GRPO is made where the stock is updated i the RM store, later, an inventory transfer has to be made to the QC warehouse and from there it should be issued to the production floor.

Since 90% of the items are excisable, how do we handle inventory transfer in such cases?

Thanks,

Joseph

Hi Joseph,

To make Inventory transfer for Excisable Items, form SAP 2007 and above versions you have to make to/From WH Excisable.

This means that your QC WH , RM WH, and Othere WH will be different for Excisable Items and Non Excisable Items

Hi Ashutosh,

If i make these warehouses excisable, would there be a need to create the excise document? Practically, we don't want to create excise document for inventory transfers as it would be within the premises.

Thanks,

Joseph

I am trying this under est databse.

I created an item X , marked it as excisable and created a grpo for this item and also created correspondiong IEI.

No i want to take this item to the QC store for which i have to use the inventory transfer document. When i create the Inventory transfer doc, the system says to create a corresponding invoice. Let's say i skipped this and didnt create any excise invoice. Now, i made another inventory ransfer to take this item from QC store to Production floor. Similarly the system prompts me to create excise document. I didnt make any.

What would be the impact in this case???

Thanks,

joseph

Hi Joesph,

System will give you a msg to create IE, but will not bound you to do so.
