Hi,
When i am trying to create new asset in S4HANA system, system is populating the following error message
Message no. FAA_CMP047
For company code 9000 in Asset Accounting, the open fiscal year has not yet been specified.
This error typically occurs when setting up a new company code.
It is necessary to create at least one legacy data transfer segment, even if you do not want to perform a legacy data transfer. Background: At creation of this first legacy data transfer segment, the system implicitly derives the current fiscal year and the last closed fiscal year from the legacy data transfer date field (if these fields have not yet been filled).
Example:
You create a new legacy data transfer segment and specify the legacy transfer date on the last day of fiscal year 2020 which is December 31, 2020.
=> The derived closed fiscal year is 2020.
=> The derived open fiscal year is 2021.
Posting is not possible.
Check and correct the settings for the company code (either with transaction FAA_CMP or with the Company Code Settings tile).
If necessary, create a legacy data transfer segment, and specify the legacy transfer date.
Have you also check OB52?

Hi,
No Need to do Legacy Data Transfer
Double click 0L(leading ledger) under your Company Code folder
You can view current closed fiscal year under Depreciation Area Settings
If your closed fiscal year is your current fiscal year then
Select entry and click on Close button(above) then your closed fiscal year should be previous year that means your current fiscal year is open. you can acquire new assets.

Raj

Hi, follow the below steps:
1. Maintain calenders assignment to your Fiscal Year variant in OAVH.
Or
2. Generate period control directly path: img - AA-Depreciation-valuation methods-period control- generate period control.
3.In FAA_CAMP or OAAQ your company code will update- maintain transfer date and your good to go further steps.

I agree with Gani. Company code status should be for testing.
Please have a look in path SPRO->Fa->AA->Asset data transfer. Maintain the values and then it should work for you.

Hi,
Even if you plan no legacy transfer, please input some data in FAA_CMP. Is the company code status set "for testing"? Also, on the legacy Data transfer tab, enter some data, if only for testing and save: For example: Transfer Date 31.12.2018, Status In Preparation, Doc Type UE.
The system should then allow you to post in 2019 I guess. You can also try to do a year-end closing using transaction AJAB for 2018.
And finally check the tcode AOOQ, you should be able to see the closing fiscal year.

Mohammed
